Most of anti-Rampal power plant campaigners 'have Jamaat link', minister says
Most of those protesting the Rampal power plant on social media are linked to Jamaat-e-Islami, State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid has said.

He says they are protesting the coal-fired plant near the Sundarbans to stop Bangladesh's development.
Speaking at a discussion in Dhaka on Saturday, the minister said, "We have analysed that they (protesters) are linked to this (Jamaat) somehow.
"Most of the protesters are linked to Jamaat," he said.
"They are doing this to make sure that Bangladesh will never be able to stand over everyone under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's leadership," he added.
The proposed 1320 MW thermal power project is a joint initiative between India and Bangladesh and is the outcome of three agreements they signed in 2013.
The project is being executed by Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Private Limited.
The project has been at the centre of a fierce opposition by environmentalist groups that believe the project could wreak havoc on the ecosystem of the UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Sundarbans.
