Tarique urges BNP members to prioritise party over candidates

He highlights the BNP’s readiness to act on its plans if elected

Tarique Rahman has called upon the activists to work for the party without considering which candidate received the nomination for the upcoming parliamentary election.

Speaking virtually on Monday from London at the Krishibid Institution auditorium in Dhaka’s Farmgate, he said: "We don't have time to sit idle. Our candidates have been announced in different areas. It's even possible that the candidate announced by the party in your area is not the person you preferred; perhaps someone else made it.

“You might have fewer close ties with the person who received the nomination.”

"You are not working for the candidate; you are working for your paddy sheaf. The candidate is not the priority here; the priority here is your party, the BNP, the paddy sheaf, and the country. If the people vote for the paddy sheaf, we will be able to implement every plan we have for building the nation, and we will do so, God willing," he added.
