Tears and cheers on HSC results day

Students across educational institutions in Dhaka break into exuberant celebrations on Saturday following the publication of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam results. The pass rate in this year's examinations stands at 52.12 percent -- the lowest in 22 years. Girls have once again outperformed boys in pass rate but slipped behind in top grades.
