Secondary school textbooks still at presses

With two weeks left until the end of the year, workers at various printing houses in Dhaka are still busy printing new secondary school textbooks. Although all the new books were supposed to reach students at the start of 2026, printing press workers think the delay at the start of printing means it will not be possible this time. They believe the printing of secondary school textbooks will take until February.

Although there is a rush to hand over new textbooks to students at the beginning of each year, it seems secondary school students will have to wait a bit longer. Presses are working day and night in shifts, but not all the books will be ready before the new year. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
