Bangladesh has registered two more child deaths linked to measles symptoms in a day, with 114 new cases confirmed in the same period.
In its regular measles bulletin on Tuesday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that 93 people have died of confirmed cases of measles across the country since Mar 15.
In addition, 625 people with suspected measles cases have also died over the time frame.
The Dhaka Division has logged the highest number of symptomatic fatalities at 269.
The death toll across other regions stands at 88 in Rajshahi, 80 in Sylhet, 51 in Chattogram, 39 in Barishal, 62 in Mymensingh, 28 in Khulna, and eight in Rangpur.
According to the DGHS, a total of 886 people sought hospital care with measles symptoms over the latest 24-hour count, with 821 requiring admission.
Dhaka registered the highest admissions, with 304 hospitalisations. Rajshahi saw 24 hospital admissions, Sylhet 54, Chattogram 190, Barishal 132, Mymensingh 46, Khulna 63, and Rangpur eight.
The DGHS said the cumulative number of suspected measles cases in the country stands at 101,077, while confirmed cases total 11,965.
So far, 80,974 of 84,627 patients hospitalised have been discharged after treatment.
