Bollywood actor Salman Khan has celebrated his 60th birthday with a lavish party at his Panvel farmhouse in Mumbai, turning the venue into a spectacle of lights and festivity.
The Saturday fête saw close friends and family gather for a night of joy and merriment.
According to NDTV, photographers brought in a massive red velvet cake late at night. Flanked by them, Salman cut the cake in a pose reminiscent of his iconic Dabangg persona.
The actor was also seen joking with paparazzi, theatrically plunging the knife into the cake as cameras clicked.
From Friday evening onwards, a steady stream of celebrity vehicles entered the Panvel property. Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni arrived with his family, while actors Aditya Roy Kapur, Rakul Preet Singh, Huma Qureshi and Maniesh Paul were also among the guests.
Members of Salman’s family were present as well. His brother Arbaaz Khan attended, along with nephews Arhaan Khan and Nirvaan Khan. Sister Arpita Khan arrived with her husband Aayush Sharma and their two children.
All arrangements were carried out under heavy security.
Mumbai police have consistently increased security around the actor, who travels in a bulletproof car accompanied by bodyguards.
The precautions follow repeated “death threats” from the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
A few days ago, unidentified men fired several rounds outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.
The Bishnoi gang claimed the attack was revenge for the killing of a large deer. Despite these threats, Salman continues his film shoots. He told reporters, “Whatever is written in fate will happen.”
Outside Galaxy Apartments, hundreds of fans waited eagerly for a glimpse of the actor.
Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 1965, Salman grew up in Mumbai. His full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, given by his parents Salim Khan and Sushila Charak.
His father is a renowned screenwriter, and Salman has always credited his family as his main support through challenges and controversies.
