Fans of Sydney Sweeney may soon see the Hollywood star step into the world of Bollywood.
Sweeney, best known for her performances in “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus”, has reportedly been approached by an Indian production company with a deal worth nearly £45 million.
If accepted, the offer would make her one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood history.
The proposed agreement, according to British tabloid newspaper The Sun, includes a £35 million fee for her role alongside an additional £10 million in sponsorships.
Producers are said to be banking on Sweeney’s global popularity to help bring the film to a wider international audience.
The project is expected to centre on a romance between a young American star and an Indian celebrity, with filming scheduled to begin in early 2026.
Locations being discussed include New York, Paris, London and Dubai.
A source familiar with the offer described the offer as “shocking”, even to Sweeney herself.
“Sydney was shocked by the offer at first. £45 million is an incredible sum. But the project is intriguing, and it could elevate her global profile even further. The Indian film industry is powerful and growing, and this movie is designed to bring its productions to the international market," said the person.

Still, no decision has been made. Industry insiders told the outlet that Sweeney is considering the proposal carefully, mindful of the many projects she already has lined up.
“It's a huge opportunity and Sydney is weighing her options carefully,” another source said.
“Money isn't everything, and she has many projects lined up, but this could push her to new limits as an actor.”
Representatives for Sweeney have not commented publicly on the reports.
The 28-year-old has a busy slate ahead regardless.
She stars in “Christy”, a biopic of American boxer Christy Martin, set for release on Nov 7.
Another of her films, “The Housemaid”, is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on Dec 19.
