Shimanto Bank introduces Bangla QR Code payment service

Customers can now make instant digital payments via CONNECT Internet Banking app

Shimanto Bank has introduced the Bangla QR Code service, a digital payment system designed to make cashless transactions faster and more convenient.

In a media statement issued on Thursday, the bank said customers can now pay for goods and services by scanning any merchant’s Bangla QR code through the CONNECT Internet Banking app on their smartphones.

The service was inaugurated through a ceremony held at Shimanto Bank’s Head Office.

Mohammad Azizul Hoque, managing director and CEO (CC); Md Sahidul Islam, head of business; Shahneela Islam Shanil, head of brand and corporate affairs and IDPD; and Sharif Zahirul Islam, head of cards and ADC, along with senior officials of the bank, were present at the launching ceremony.
