The two other superstores are Khulshi Mart and The Grocer.

Several mobile courts of the district administration raided shops in the port city on Friday.

Magistrate Tahmilur Rahman said the Agora outlet at Prabartak intersection was charging bloated prices for green chilli, eggplant, tomato and sugar.

Meena Bazar’s Muradpur outlet was selling rotten honey and expired face-wash, and charging extra for beef.

Khulshi Mart at Khulshi and Shwapno at Golpaharh were making extra profits by selling gram at extra high prices.

The Grocer was selling rotten meat and fish, the magistrate said.

Other mobile courts seized vegetables being sold at higher prices and other expired products. They fined the traders at Seaport Bazar in Patenga, Failyatali Bazar, Aturar Depot, and Bibir Haat.
