BYD Bangladesh has opened its largest exclusive showroom in the country in Dhaka’s Tejgaon and held a vehicle delivery event for customers.
The 6,000 sq ft showroom at Aristo Tower was inaugurated on Saturday, the company said in a press release.
Ketsu Zhang, deputy general manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, attended the opening as chief guest.
Hafizur Rahman Khan, chairman of CG Runner BD Ltd; Amid Sakif Khan, managing director of CG Runner BD Ltd; Charles Ren, country manager of BYD Bangladesh; Imtiaz Nawsher, chief marketing officer of BYD Bangladesh; and Methun Bhattacharjee, head of network development of BYD Bangladesh, were also present.
“Bangladesh is an important and promising market for BYD in the Asia-Pacific region,” Zhang said.
“The launch of this exclusive showroom reflects our long-term confidence in the country and our commitment to making world-class new energy mobility more accessible to Bangladeshi customers.”

After the showroom opening, BYD held a vehicle delivery ceremony at the Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
The event was arranged for customers and their families who had pre-ordered BYD’s new energy vehicles (NEVs), the release said.
Customers, business leaders, invited guests and media representatives attended the programme, which included product showcases, customer engagement sessions and key handovers.
The company said several heads of department at BYD Bangladesh also received their ordered vehicles at the event.
Imtiaz Nawsher said the showroom opening and vehicle handover marked a “landmark moment” for BYD Bangladesh.
“The opening of our largest exclusive showroom, followed by the handover of vehicles to our valued customers, reflects the growing trust people are placing in BYD,” he said.
BYD Bangladesh said the new showroom would strengthen its presence in the local automotive market and support its plans to expand sustainable mobility solutions in Bangladesh.
