Kolkata, April 23 (BDNEWS) – Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has approved the time extension of the enquiry commission headed by justice Monoj Mukherjee to unearth the real mystery behind the disappearance of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.
Indian home ministry sources said, the commission will not only be allowed to go to any country it prefers in the interest of the investigation but it also can carry on its enquiry as long as it does not confirm the end of the investigation. The third phase of time extension of the enquiry commission is scheduled to end on April 14.
An Indian home ministry source told BDNEWS, "the justice of enquiry commission had expressed his willingness to go to Russia and Vietnam to unearth the mystery and to this end the home minister Shibraj Patil, at the directive of the Prime Minister, had given his nod and permission.
A few days back Netaji's nephew Subrata Bose, also a lawmaker, requested the Prime Minister to extend the time of the commission and sought permission for visiting foreign countries.
Indian home minister Shibraj Patil on November 15 while increasing the time of the commission for six months said that he would under no circumstance extend the time of the commission any more but in the end it happened at the Prime Minister's interference.
Meanwhile, chief of the enquiry commission justice Monoj Mukherjee told BDNEWS, "the commission could not go to Russia due to biting cold there. The Taiwan government, meantime, informed no plane accident took place on August 18, 1945 there which some of the accounts claimed.
A group of researcher wanted to prove to the commission with documents that during 1946 Netaji was in Russia. The commission also wants to look for some information in Vietnam.
