Government shuffles 16 DIG-level police officials, moves CMP chief to RAB

Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandal has been made an Additional Director General at the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Iqbal Bahar, the Deputy Inspector General at Bangladesh Police’s Rajshahi Range, has replaced him.

The home ministry transferred 16 DIG-level police officials including Mandal on Wednesday.

The minister in a separate order also shuffled 32 additional DIGs.

Most of the transferred or newly posted officials were recently promoted.
