Rapid response puts out New Eskaton building fire within 10 minutes

No casualties have been reported

A fire at a building on Dilu Road in Dhaka’s New Eskaton has been brought under control within 10 minutes, according to the Fire Service.

The fire started at 9:18pm on Thursday, and firefighters reached the scene at 9:30pm, extinguishing it by 9:40pm.

Fire Service duty officer Rakibul Hasan said flames started in a room on the eighth floor of the nine-storey building, adding that no casualties were reported.

He added the cause of the fire will be confirmed after an investigation.
