The main Eid ul-Azha congregation will be held at the National Eidgah at 7:30am, with Baitul Mukarram National Mosque serving as the fallback venue at 8am if the weather turns adverse.
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) administrator Md Abdus Salam announced this at a media briefing on Eid congregation arrangements and sacrificial waste management.
"I hope that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the president, members of the Cabinet and foreign diplomats will participate in the main Eid congregation at the National Eidgah."
"If the weather is unfavourable, the main Eid congregation will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque," he said.

The Eid congregation has been organised at the National Eidgah grounds under the management of the DSCC, where about 35,000 worshipers can offer prayers together in 121 rows.
He also highlighted that there will be separate entrances, ablution facilities and prayer areas for men and women.
In addition, a total of four gates have been arranged for the worshippers to enter and a total of 7 gates have been set up for the worshippers to exit.

Mobile toilets, first aid services and rainwater drainage facilities are in place.
Law-enforcing agencies are making preparations and coordinating to ensure comprehensive security.
The Dhaka South administrator said, "I appeal to city residents - let us participate in the main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha at the National Eidgah in an orderly manner."
On sacrificial waste management, the DSCC said transportation of waste from Kalabagan STS to Matuail Landfill will begin at 1:30pm on Eid day, with the first day's waste targeted for clearance within eight hours, by 9:30pm.
