Political parties will sign the “July National Charter”, which includes decisions on state reform and implementation commitments, on Oct 15.

On Thursday, the National Consensus Commission announced that the signing ceremony will take place at the South Plaza of the parliament.

The decision came during a meeting of the commission.

A media statement from the commission said, “The historic signing ceremony will be led by Muhammad Yunus, chief advisor of the interim government and chairman of the Consensus Commission. Representatives from different political parties and alliances will participate."

It also said, during the meeting, experts' opinions on the implementation of the Charter were discussed, along with insights gathered from five meetings between the commission and political parties.

“The commission expressed hope that, after analysing the opinions from experts and political parties, recommendations on the implementation of the July Charter will be prepared and submitted to the government soon."
