Habibur, Rajib get ministerial portfolios

The portfolios of two state ministers assigned to the ministries of road transport and bridges, railways, and shipping have been allocated.

Among them, Habibur Rashid will oversee the Road Transport and Highways Division and the Ministry of Railways.

Md Rajib Ahsan will be in charge of the Ministry of Shipping and the Bridges Division.

The Administration Wing of the division issued a letter on Tuesday regarding the distribution of their responsibilities.

According to the letter, in line with a Feb 17 gazette notification from the Cabinet Division, the minister has expressed his intent to allocate portfolios to the two state ministers.

In the election, Habibur was elected MP from Dhaka-9 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate.

Rajib was elected under the BNP from Barishal-4.
