3,120 candidates clear 48th special BCS, including doctors, dental surgeons

The PSC announces that 2,820 candidates passed as assistant surgeons and 300 as assistant dental surgeons

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the results of the 48th special BCS, confirming 3,120 candidates as successful in the exams.

Among the successful candidates, 2,820 were nominated for Assistant Surgeon positions and 300 for Assistant Dental Surgeon roles.

PSC spokesperson SM Matiur Rahman confirmed that the results were published on Thursday night.

The results are available on the PSC website at www.bpsc.gov.bd and on Teletalk’s portal bpsc.teletalk.com.bd.

The notification for this special BCS, which aimed to recruit over 3,000 doctors, was released on May 29. A total of 41,025 candidates applied for the exam.

The written test was held on Jul 20, with 4,695 candidates temporarily passing for assistant surgeon and 511 for assistant dental surgeon positions. The viva voce (oral) exams bagan on Aug 6.
