Government primary school teacher recruitment exam to be held on Jan 9

The postponed written exam for assistant teacher recruitment in government primary schools will be held on Jan 9.

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) said on Tuesday that the exam will be held at the same time on the new date at the designated venue.

The recruitment exam was scheduled to be held on Friday, but it was postponed due to the state mourning declared on the death of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Notifications for recruiting assistant teachers were issued in two phases: 10,219 posts on Nov 5 for schools in six divisions, and 4,166 posts on Nov 12 for Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.

The written exam for 61 districts across eight divisions was scheduled simultaneously on Friday.
