Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi will be buried beside the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam next to the Dhaka University Central Mosque, confirmed the platform in a Facebook Post.
Hadi’s family wished to have him buried at the place, the Inqilab Moncho said in the post on Friday evening.
The burial will take place after funeral prayers at Manik Mia Avenue after Zuhr prayers.
The vehicle carrying Hadi has departed from the airport heading to the morgue, the post said.
The platform’s activists will gather in Shahbagh after keeping Hadi at the mortuary, the post added.
“Following the family’s request, it has been decided to bury Hadi beside poet Nazrul and hold his Janaza prayer after Zuhr at Manik Mia Avenue,” the post added.
A procession will carry Hadi’s body from the mortuary at the NICVD to the Central Mosque on Saturday, which the government has announced as a national mourning day.
The post also urged students and the public to stay vigilant against any conspiracy against their movement and not to participate in any violent activities.
There will be no opportunity to view the body, the Facebook post said.
Everyone has been requested to maintain discipline and offer prayers for martyr Osman Hadi.
