US-Bangla Airlines has restored its full flight schedule across all Middle Eastern destinations, including Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, following a period of instability in the region stemming from the Iran war.
The private carrier said on Wednesday it has maintained regular services to several Middle Eastern destinations to support Bangladeshi expatriates since its international debut.
From Feb 28, flight schedules, however, faced temporary disruption due to the war in the region and related restrictions, similar to other international airlines.
With conditions “improving”, the airline has now reinstated full services to all routes in the region.
It currently runs scheduled flights to Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Muscat in Oman, Doha in Qatar, and Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
According to the announcement, the final piece of the recovery puzzle falls into place this Thursday with the resumption of flights on the Dhaka-Doha route.
Flights are set to depart the capital daily at 7:30pm for Doha, with the return leg leaving Qatar at 11:30pm local time.
While the carrier operates direct flights from Dhaka to Muscat, the return journey from the Omani capital now routes through Chattogram before reaching Dhaka.
In addition, daily flights to Dubai are being operated from Dhaka via Chattogram.
The Abu Dhabi service runs six days a week, excluding Thursdays, while Sharjah is served four times weekly.
For its Saudi Arabian operations, the airline maintains a five-day weekly schedule to Riyadh and three days to Jeddah.
US-Bangla confirmed that most Middle Eastern routes are serviced by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, while the higher-capacity Airbus A330-300 is deployed for the Riyadh and Jeddah corridors.
The airline’s fleet currently boasts 25 aircraft, featuring three Airbus A330-300s and nine Boeing 737-800s.
Beyond restoring its existing network, the company is also eyeing further growth with plans to initiate services to Medina and Dammam shortly.
