Minor housemaid Khadiza Khatun Sumi, too, has been sent there.

Inspector Rahman and his wife were found murdered from their Chamelibagh residence on Aug 16.

Oishee, who had gone missing since Aug 15, surrendered at the Paltan Police Station on Aug 17.

Police had claimed Oishee confessed to killing her parents and forcing Sumi to help her out.

Both Oishee and Sumi were sent to the correction home after they issued confessional statements before a Dhaka court on Aug 24.

Her school records indicates Oishee is below 18 years, but her birth certificate from a Khulna clinic, submitted on Aug 29 by the case’s investigation officer, indicates she is more than 18.

Gazipur ‘Kishori Unnayan Kendra’—a juvenile correction home—Deputy Assistant Caretaker Md Siddiqur Rahman started for the Dhaka jail on Saturday morning with the two girls.

Deputy Director of the district’s social welfare directorate Lutfun Nesa told bdnews24.com they received court orders to effect the transfer around 10am.

Both Oishee and Sumi started for Dhaka wearing the same clothes they had on when they came in at the correction home.

None went to see the two.

Human-rights activists have cried foul at Oishee’s detention and remand.

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairman Mizanur Rahman had said that violates the Children Act.

Police conducted several tests to ascertain her age with the court’s order. The results are yet to be out.
