Banu, wife of the late Navy chief rear admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, is the mother-in-law of BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The Anti-Corruption Commission had issued the notice on Jan 25, 2013, asking Banu to submit her wealth statement.

On her failure to do so, the ACC filed a case against her on Jan 30, 2014.

It pressed charges against her on Jan 16 this year.

Banu moved the High Court seeking a quashing of the notice and the case, and another order relating to a new notice 10 days later.
