Chittagong court orders death for two in the 2014 murders of mother and daughter
Two people have been sentenced to death for the 2014 murders of a teenage girl and her mother in the port city.

Saima Akter, who was appearing in the Secondary School Certificate exams, and her mother Rejia Khatun were hacked to death at their home in Agrabad.
A Chittagong Speedy Tribunal delivered the verdict on Thursday in presence of the convicts— Abu Raihan and Md Shahid.
“The charges against them were proven beyond doubt and the judge ordered hanging until death for them,” Prosecutor Ayub Khan told bdnews24.com.
On Mar 24, 2014, the mother and daughter were murdered at their Agrabad CDA residence.
Police arrested the duo two days later. Raihan was held from Dhaka and Shaheed from the port city.
In July this year, the court indicted the two for the killings.
