bdnews24.com visited several localities under DCC North and South after the deadline was over and found evidence of negligence and failure to clean up.

Both DCC North and South started their clean-up effort at 2 pm on Oct 6. The drive was scheduled to end at 2pm on Oct 8.

bdnews24.com moved around Mohakhali, Banani, Kakoli, Uttara and Mirpur under DCC North on Wednesday afternoon.

It found cow dung and wastes of slaughtered animals all over the areas adjacent to the T&T field.
An overpowering stench made it difficult to stroll along the roads around T&T field.
Abandoned cattle markets of Kakoli and Uttara sector 13 also reflect DCC North's sloppy effort to clean up.
Leftover bamboo structures of the sector 13 cattle market have become a bone of contention between the market operators and DCC North.
Since it remains unresolved as to who should remove the bamboos, they are still all over the cattle market.

Wastes have just piled up in sector 11, on the opposite side of the sector 13's cattle market. DCC North's cleaners were removing them far too slowly.
Three days after the Eid-ul-Azha, piles of wastes are still lying at various points of Mirpur 13.
Compared to DCC North's efforts, DCC South has done a much better job in cleaning its areas.
On the morning of Oct 9, bdnews24.com visited Mitford, Zindabahar, Johnson Road, Banglabazar, Patuatuli, Sadarghat, Jurain, Gendaria, Dholaikhal and Sutrapur areas of DCC South.
But evidence of negligence are aplenty inside the narrow alleys of Old Dhaka.

Inside an alley of Zindabahar, bdnews24.com found a sack full of animal's waste. A stone's throw from there in front of Missionaries of Charity, stains of stale blood are still visible, bad odour continues to waft up from an open manhole.
On 28 Zindabahar lane, before Moreau Seminary, bdnews24.com witnessed a dustbin full of animal wastes and mats used for sacrificing the animals.

On the streets of Dholaikhal, animal wastes are still found lying here and there. No DCC vehicle has come to pick up the garbage that flanked the road three days after the Eid.

bdnews24.com contacted DCC South's administrator, chief waste management officer and DCC North's chief waste management officer to talk about DCC's much-publicised post-Eid clean up.

But none of them took the calls.
