The 55-year old was killed in a bus accident in the Pallabi area of Mirpur

His only surviving daughter ‘Farjana’ was severely burnt in the assault in June which left nine members of his family dead.

Community leaders and relatives said on Saturday, around 10am, when Yasin was getting up on a bus to fetch an ointment for her injured daughter, another bus hit on the back of his bus, leaving him seriously injured.

Secretary of Urdu Speaking Peoples Youth Rehabilitation Movement Shahid Ali Bablu said, "Yasin met his tragic end before the Purabi Cinema Hall. He was going to Kalabagan to buy medicine for Farjana."

“He was first admitted to the nearby Islami Bank Hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he had a surgery.”

Shahid Ali quoted doctors as saying that Yasin succumbed to internal injuries and bleeding he suffered during the accident.

Yasin's sister ‘Nahida’ told bdnews24.com,"My brother was supposed to file a case over the Bihari camp murders on Sunday. He had identified some of the attackers.

“But he died mysteriously just the day before. Farjana is recovering from her burn injuries, but the sudden loss of her father left her deeply shocked."

OC Syed Ziauzzaman of Pallabi Police Station said,"We are trying to identify and seize the bus."

On June 14, a dispute over firecrackers had led to the Kalshi Bihari camp attack that killed 10 people. The local Bihari community blamed ruling Awami League MP Ilyas Uddin Mollah for the attack.
Six cases, including a murder case by police , were filed over the murders.
However, the Biharis have not yet filed any case over the attack that took place three months ago.
The worst victim of that attack Yasin was waiting for his daughter's recovery to file the case.
