The 55-year-old died on the spot after being crushed between two moving buses around 10am on Saturday in front of Purabi Cinema Hall at Pallbi, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Inspector Mozammel Haque said.
Yasin's cousin Md Sonu told bdnews24.com that Yasin lost his wife, three daughters, three sons, one of his sons' wife and a grandson in the fire during the clashes at Kalshi, locally known as 'Bihari camp', on June 14.
The camp shelters thousands of Urdu-speaking Muslims who prefer to call themselves 'stranded Pakistanis' and want to go over to Pakistan.
According to police, the clash had begun following a dispute between 'groups of Biharis' over the use of fire-crackers.
But locals said a group of miscreants had attacked the camp in the morning that day and set fire to at least 10 houses and damaged several others.
Apart from the nine members of his family, Yasin's another daughter 'Farjana' also suffered severe burn injuries in the fire. She had received treatment at DMCH burns unit.
Currently, they were living at a relative's house at Pallabi.
Sonu said Yasin was on his way to buy some medicines for Farjana when he met his tragic death.
