Facebook has restored its service after a disruption lasting about two hours affected users in Bangladesh and several other countries.
Users in Bangladesh began reporting problems accessing the social media platform shortly after 1:30pm on Sunday, with many seeing an "Account Temporarily Unavailable" message instead of their usual news feed.
The access was restored around 3:30pm.
The error message told users their account was temporarily unavailable because of a site issue and asked them to try again after a few minutes.
The problem mainly affected users trying to access Facebook through a web browser, while the mobile app continued to work for many users.
Outage tracking websites, including Downdetector, IsDown, NordVPN and Down For Everyone, also flagged a possible Facebook disruption.
Users in the UK, Australia, the Philippines, Romania, Italy, Canada, Georgia, the United States, Singapore, Pakistan and Turkey were among those reporting access problems.
Some users also reported trouble accessing Instagram, another Meta service, though WhatsApp and Messenger remained functional.
Meta's platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, suffered a similar outage on Jun 12, with services returning to normal within about an hour.
Unable to access their accounts, many users turned to X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms to check whether the problem was widespread or limited to them, according to Downdetector.
Businesses, media outlets and content creators reliant on Facebook also ran into difficulties during the disruption.
Meta, Facebook's parent company, issued no immediate statement or explanation.
The message shown to users, however, pointed to a technical glitch behind the outage.
