Dhaka, May 28 (bdnews24.com) – The benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped for the fifth consecutive day on Monday.
The DSE general index slipped to 4645 with a loss of 70 points on the second trading day of the week.
Shares and mutual funds worth Tk 1835 million changed hands with 35 issues gaining, 200 declining and 23 remaining unchanged.
On Sunday, the DGEN had dropped 82 points to 4715 points with a turnover of Tk 1720 million.
The index had lost 193.87 points or 3.88 percent last week and 84.84 points or 1.67 percent in the previous week. The daily average turnover had been Tk 2920 million last week and Tk 3570 million in the previous week.
The DSE general index had lost 84, two and 204 points, respectively, in the three previous weeks.
