Dhaka, Jun 6 (bdnews24.com)—The Dhaka Stock Exchange's key index ended the week's fourth business day 50 points higher.
On Wednesday, the DGEN closed at 4791 points after see-saw movements throughout the day.
Shares and mutual funds worth around Tk 30.7 billion changed hands with prices of 161 issues gaining, 72 declining and 25 remaining unchanged.
This week, the index reached its peak at 4755.53 points on Tuesday, and the upward trend carried into Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index gained 66 points.
The DSE ended Monday's trading around 179 points down while it gained around 121 points at the opening of the week's trading.
The key index lost 63.59 points or 1.33 percent during last week's trading with a daily average turnover of around Tk 1.93 billion which was around Tk 1 billion less than the week before.
