Dhaka, May 2 (BDNEWS) – Newly elected ruling party lawmaker Mainul Islam Khan Shanto from Manikganj-4 constituency in the by-election joined the parliament session on Tuesday.
Following the question-answer session and before the magrib prayer Speaker Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar introduced him to the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
The lawmaker thanked the people of his constituency for electing him as a lawmaker in a brief speech in the JS.
He was elected in the by-election held on April 19 to the seat that fell vacant following the death of his father Shamsul Islam Khan (Naya Miah) who was the lawmaker of the area.
