“Besides raising public awareness about the issue, joint efforts by several organisations will be taken,” he said at a reception in Chittagong on Friday.
The city unit of Awami League organised the reception at the Shah Amanat International Airport as the new minister returned taking oath on Tuesday.
BSc said he would not allow Chittagong to be used as the route for illegal migration.
“We’ll take step to expand our labour market abroad. It will stop illegal migration through the sea,” he said.
He also said he would help Chittagong Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin to solve the water-logging issue.
He sought everyone’s suggestion.
