Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, she questioned the sincerity of the move and expressed her suspicions about their motive.
The prime minister said the desires of Hossain and Manna would not be fulfilled.
She also took a dig at the section of discussants at TV talk-shows.
“They can criticise the government if it commits any crime. But if they instigate murders of people, they will be equally responsible for the crime,” she said.
Hasina said: “Murders will never be acceptable. Nobody in this world has seen this sort of heinous acts before. People of the country won’t tolerate it.”
She warned the ‘instigators’ saying provocative statements would be monitored. “Due actions will be taken against them too. We’ll certainly enquire about the instigators.”
Answering queries during the question-answer session, the prime minister highlighted the initiatives taken by her government to provide treatment and support to the victims of violence, unleashed during BNP-sponsored blockades and shutdowns.
She said private TV stations were introduced during her 1996-2001 government.
“Now they instigate people sitting there (TV talk-shows). I wish to request them to at least appeal to Khaleda Zia to stop killing people.”
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury presided over the Wednesday’s session.
