A two-day transport strike, ostensibly to call for illegal vehicles to be removed from highways, is underway in Barishal ahead of a BNP rally. The strike has cut off Barishal from the rest of the country and is causing public suffering. Launch, bus and even ferry service is closed due to the strike.
