Farewell to Goddess Durga

Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival for the Bengali Hindus, drew to a close through the immersion of the goddess’s idols. The festival, which began with the setting of a water-filled pot beneath a bel tree on Sasthi, came to a close on the final day of the Puja – Bijoya Dashami.
