Police removing battery-powered rickshaws

Calls have been growing for long to stop battery-powered rickshaws on the roads. Since the exit of the Sheikh Hasina government, police have been removing these rickshaws from all streets in Dhaka. However, despite these efforts, battery-powered rickshaws are still operating freely.

As the number of battery-powered rickshaws on the roads increases, police have become more vigilant. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
