Body of Gaffar Chowdhury arrives in Dhaka

The body of Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, the journalist and columnist best known for writing the lyrics to ‘Amar Bhaier Rokte Rangano’, was brought to Bangladesh from London on Saturday, May 28, 2022. He passed away at a London hospital on May 19 at the age of 88 after several months of treatment. The body reached Dhaka aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane at 11 am. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
