Arial Beel’s pumpkins on sale

Sweet pumpkins grown on the dried bed of Munshiganj’s Arial Beel in the Almanagar area are brought to Shyambazar Ghat in Old Dhaka for sale. Depending on size and quality, each pumpkin is sold for Tk 30-120. The farmers themselves visit the wholesale market in Old Dhaka. Photo: Asif Mahmud Ove
