Dhaka Nagar Paribahan buses hit the streets

The Dhaka Nagar Paribahan bus service was launched on Dec 26, 2021 as part of the bus route rationalisation plan. The new service carries passengers from Ghatarchar to Kachpur, a 28-kilometre route. Passengers are being picked up from designated bus stops across the city. Although buses are leaving from Ghatarchar every five to 10 minutes, the traffic congestion in the capital means the passengers are facing lengthy waiting times at counters. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
