Winter vegetables arrive through Buriganga

Most of the winter vegetables cultivated by the farmers in the areas around Dhaka enter the wholesale markets in the capital through the Buriganga river. Even cauliflowers and cabbages from Savar, north to the city, are transported to Shyambazar in the southern part of the capital through the river.
