Ashura processions

Muslims in Bangladesh along with those elsewhere in the world are observing Ashura on Friday, the 10th day of the lunar month of Muharram in Islamic calendar. Amidst heightened security, Shia Muslims took out Tazia processions in different parts of the capital Dhaka and Chattogram.
