The process of filling out forms for the HSC and equivalent exams is set to begin on Mar 2 and continue until Mar 7, according to the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
The maximum form fee has been fixed at Tk 2,785 for students in the science stream. Students in the humanities and business studies streams will have to pay Tk 2,225.
Exam controller of the board told bdnews24.com:
"The form fill-up process for the HSC exams will kick off on Mar 2. We have already issued the notice," said Prof SM Kamal Uddin Haider, the board's exam controller.
The HSC and equivalent exams will start on Jun 26. The theoretical exams will continue until Aug 10, while the practical assessments will be held from Aug 11 to Aug 28.
The HSC and equivalent exams in 2025 will follow the abridged or revised syllabus of 2023.
All subjects will be tested with full marks and the standard exam duration.
The board said in its notice that only registered students who have passed the Grade 10 selection test can fill up the HSC exam form.
However, students who missed the selection test due to unavoidable circumstances or illness, or those who failed the selection test, can still apply. In such cases, they must submit a written application from their parents to the education board. Students with good scores in the pre-test exam will be allowed to fill up the form.
Colleges must publish the test exam results by Feb 27, while the Dhaka Education Board website will release the official exam information on Mar 1.
Students can fill up forms online without a late fee until Mar 10.
A late fee of Tk 100 will be charged for online form fill-up between Mar 12-17, with the final payment deadline on Mar 18.
Humanities and business studies students will need to pay Tk 140 extra for each fourth or elective subject with a practical exam.
