Only half of bank staff allowed to be physically present in workplace until Feb 6
Bangladesh Bank has ordered all banks in the country to operate with only half of their employees physically present in the workplace until Feb 6.

The other employees will have to work from home until then, the central bank said in a statement on Monday.
The new measures come as Bangladesh reels from another spike in COVID-19 cases spurred by the quick spreading omicron variant of the disease.
Bank employees will also be required to carry their vaccine certificates and masks will be mandatory for customers, the central bank said
