In a sharp reply to BNP chief Khaleda Zia's remarks over deals signed with India, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina says those who label them as pacts to 'sell off the country' are 'stupid.'

Hasina made the comments on Monday in New Delhi while addressing Bangladeshi and Indian business leaders.
On her last day of the official visit, Hasina attended a meeting with Indian investors at Taj Mahal Hotel, where she called on them to take advantage of Bangladesh's business-friendly regime.
Halfway through her speech in English, she switched to Bangla and hit out at those who criticised the agreements with India.
India and Bangladesh have signed 22 agreements and MoUs after the official talks between the countries at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
The BNP has been vocal against three of the MoUs on defence cooperation. India extended a $500 million line of credit to Bangladesh for military procurements under the pacts.
Khaleda had spoken out on the topic Sunday, claiming the government had agreed to ‘sell off the country’ in exchange for another five years in power.
“Those who call themselves the current government are not the government of the people. They were not elected by the people. They are scheming, once again, to cling on to power."
