The Summit Group has pledged “full” cooperation with any legal process taken by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The company made the pledge in a statement issued on Monday night.
On Sunday, the ACC asked the SG Chairman Muhammead Aziz Khan, his wife Anjuman Aziz Khan, and their daughter Ayesha Aziz Khan to appear before it, as their assets declared in their income tax documents did not match with their declared source of wealth.
Reports published on the ACC summons of the trio prompted the SG to issue the statement.
“We are committed to cooperating fully with any official legal process,” the statement said.
It noted that the monetary figures cited in the newspaper report correspond precisely to the assets declared in their respective individual income tax returns filed with the National Board of Revenue.
The statement said the allegations of "misdeclaration”, "inconsistency”, or a "mismatch" between declared income and assets are fundamentally misplaced.
Aziz does not own any immovable property in his personal capacity, it added.
The group said allegations such as "syphoning money out of the country" or acquiring wealth by "transferring money abroad" were made without any basis or evidence.
