The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased again at the consumer level, with the cost of a 12kg cylinder rising by Tk 50 for February.
The new price has been set at Tk 1,356, up from Tk 1,306 in January, according to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Monday.
The revised rates will come into effect from 6pm.
BERC said the latest adjustment was made based on the average price of propane and butane under the Saudi contract price for February 2026, announced by Saudi Aramco.
Under the new pricing structure, the consumer price of private LPG has been fixed at Tk 113.4 per kg.
The commission last adjusted LPG prices on Jan 4.
BERC also revised the prices of bottled LPG cylinders of different sizes.
A 5.5kg cylinder will now cost Tk 622, while the price of a 12.5kg cylinder has been set at Tk 1,413.
The updated rates place a 15kg cylinder at Tk 1,696 and a 33kg cylinder at Tk 3,731.
Alongside LPG, the price of autogas, the LPG variant used by vehicles, has also been raised for February.
The consumer-level price of autogas, including VAT, has been increased by Tk 2.34 per litre to Tk 62.14.
In January, it was Tk 59.80 per litre.
BERC said LPG and autogas cannot be sold at any stage at prices higher than those fixed by the commission.
The new rates will remain in force until further notice.
