Emirates has introduced a new adjustable headrest for Economy Class passengers designed to provide head and neck support during sleep, Gulf News reports.
The U-Dream headrest, which will reduce the need for neck pillows on long-haul flights, is already installed on three Airbus A350 aircraft and will be fitted across the airline's entire A350 fleet by the year-end.
Emirates also plans to install it on most Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s over time, while all 270 Boeing 777X aircraft on order will be delivered with the headrest pre-installed.

The padded leather headrest features flexible side wings that fold inwards to support the head and neck, helping prevent passengers' heads from falling forward or to the side while sleeping.
It can also be adjusted vertically and tilted to suit different heights and sleeping positions.
Emirates said the design has been independently tested and verified to meet European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards.
