A demonstration was held in front of the administrative building around 9:00am as the protesters padlocked the entrance.
Principal Dr Md Abdul Latif Mia, a brother of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, labelled the protests as a ‘conspiracy’.
The teachers, officials and other staff of the college chanted slogans, and boycotted classes and other academic activities on Saturday.

The principal denied the allegations, saying that Prof Abdur Razzak had started the protests after he was not assigned to the post.
Prof Abdur Razzak is the vice president of the Teachers Welfare Association.
“He is making these claims to cover up his misconduct,” he said responding to the principal’s comments. “I only have six months left before I retire. Why would I do this?”
