Monirul Islam new envoy to Morocco

The government has decided to appoint Md Monirul Islam as Bangladesh’s new ambassador to Morocco.

He is currently serving as Bangladesh’s Consul General in New York.

A career diplomat, Islam earlier served in different capacities in Bangladesh missions in Madrid, Singapore, Beijing and Ottawa.

He has been a Director General of East Asia and pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He belongs to the 10th batch of BCS foreign affairs and has an MA degree in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Monash University, Australia, the ministry says in a media release.
