Three dead as truck rams easy bike in Khulna

At least three people have been killed and four others injured after a truck ploughed into a three-wheeled passenger vehicle, locally called easy bike, in Khulna’s Dumuria Upazila.

The crash occurred around 9am on Monday in the Jilerdanga area, according to Dumuria Police Station chief Md Masud Rana.

Two people were killed at the scene, while several others were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital with serious injuries, he said.

Hospital officials later confirmed that one more person died while receiving treatment, raising the death toll to three. Four others remain hospitalised, one in critical condition.

Emergency responders from Dumuria Fire Station were dispatched to the site and carried out rescue operations.

The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed.
