Man injured in Magura clash dies, sparking fresh violence that leaves 50 hurt

A man injured in a clash over a power struggle between two factions of villagers in Magura’s Sadar Upazila has died of his wounds. The death sparked another clash that led to at least 50 other people being injured on both sides.

The incident occurred in Ramnagar village in Hazrapur Union on Monday, according to Ayub Ali, chief of Magura Sadar Police Station.

Azizul Islam, 38, had been injured in a clash between the two sides on Saturday. He died on Sunday while undergoing treatment.

Police have detained six people in connection with the violence.
